All pieces are boxed with care and come with a polishing cloth and instructions for looking after your jewel.

Laser Engraving

Up to four words can be laser engraved inside a band for $100. This adds an extra week to your order.

Hand Engraving

Hand engraving by me is free of charge. It is less perfect and more organic!

Sizing can be tricky, but I can help! You are welcome to make an appointment at the studio to try pieces on, or you can be sized by a local jeweller. Standard sizes are used, so most jewellers will be able to assist.

It is worth noting that hands can change size over time. Resizing is common and usually straightforward. Fees apply and are quoted case by case.

Jewellery needs a little looking after. Avoid exposure to chemicals, perfumes and harsh conditions, as they can damage both stones and metal.

Pieces are durable but not indestructible. I recommend booking your piece in for a check-up and clean once a year, especially if it is worn daily. I am happy to polish, tighten settings or carry out minor repairs for a small fee. Get in touch if your piece is due for a service.

We will start by talking through materials, inspiration and meaning. This can be done in-person or via phone or video.

The full bespoke process usually takes 6 to 12 weeks, depending on the complexity of the piece and how quickly we can settle decisions. This includes:

• sketches and feedback
• resin or wax try-on and refinement
• making, setting and final touches

If you are hoping to mark a particular date, I recommend getting in touch early. I take on a limited number of commissions each year.

Your first consultation is complimentary. We will talk through ideas, look at stones and work out what is possible for your piece.

When you are ready for me to start developing designs and sourcing stones for you, there is a $500 design fee. This secures my time on your project and is credited towards your final piece if you go ahead.

Once you approve your design and quote, a 50% deposit is due (minus the $500 you have already paid), with the balance due on completion.

Pricing reflects material costs at the time of design approval, alongside the labour involved in making each piece. Gold prices have risen significantly over the past year, so quotes are confirmed at that point rather than earlier.

The design fee covers the time spent sketching and developing your concepts, so it is not refundable if you decide not to go ahead.

The fee includes up to two distinct design directions. If you would like to explore more than that, an additional design fee may apply.

Once a deposit has been paid and materials have been ordered, changes may affect timing and cost. Small adjustments are usually fine; just ask.

All sketches, 3D models, renders and prototypes remain the intellectual property of Kim Victoria Jewels, even once the design fee has been paid. They are created for your commission only, and cannot be taken elsewhere to be made. This also means no one else will be wearing your design.

Do I copy other makers’ work? In short: no, not even with modifications. You are welcome to bring references or inspiration, and I will use them to inform a piece that is original in form and grounded in my own design language.

I can work with heirloom stones, depending on the condition and suitability of the gem. A small fee may apply to identify and assess stones before we begin.

I am not currently able to reuse client-supplied gold in the making process, but existing gold can sometimes be traded for credit towards your piece.

I work exclusively with recycled gold for lost-wax cast pieces, in 9ct, 14ct or 18ct, and in yellow, white or rose gold. I also work with platinum for certain designs.

Other metals are not currently available for bespoke work.

If you love the style of my work but bespoke is not the right fit at the moment, many pieces in my collection can be customised, for example with a different stone, metal or size. It is a good way to make something your own while staying within budget.
