About Kim Victoria
My jewellery practice is shaped by both the built and natural environments: weathered rock, architectural silhouettes, and the unexpected details found in Australia’s wild landscapes. I am drawn to the tension between strength and softness, and to pieces that feel both grounded and subtly expressive.
With a background in Interior Design and Fine Art (majoring in Gold & Silversmithing), I create sculptural, refined jewellery using precious materials including recycled gold, Australian sapphires, Argyle Champagne diamonds, and luminous Coober Pedy opals. Each stone is chosen for its character and origin, with a focus on local and as-ethical-as-possible sourcing.
Many pieces begin through a process of collage, hand sketches, and digital modelling. I use CAD as an extension of drawing, building forms slowly in three dimensions and adjusting them repeatedly until the structure and flow feel resolved. The form is then translated through lost-wax casting and refined by hand, responding to the behaviour of the metal and refining texture and balance before the final piece emerges.
The focus is always on longevity, wearability, and meaning. The designs are guided by a deep and enduring aesthetic rather than trends, and shaped with the intention that they will be worn and loved for many years to come.
Some people find what they are looking for within the studio collection. Others arrive with a story, a stone, or an idea they would like to bring into being. That is where the bespoke process begins.
You are warmly invited to visit my beloved Brunswick East studio to explore the collection and talk through ideas. I aim to make jewellery that honours memory, place, and material. It would be a privilege to make it with you.
I acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung people as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters on which I gratefully live and work. I respectfully recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their Elders past and present.
Always was, always will be.
