About Kim Victoria

My jewellery practice is shaped by the built and natural environments: weathered rock, architectural silhouettes, and the unexpected details found in Australia’s wild landscapes. I am drawn to the tension between strength and softness, and to pieces that feel both grounded and quietly expressive.

With a background in Interior Design and Fine Art (majoring in Gold & Silversmithing), I create sculptural, refined jewellery using precious materials: recycled gold, Australian sapphires, Argyle Champagne Diamonds, and luminous Coober Pedy opals. Each stone is chosen for its character and origin. I prioritise local or as-ethical-as-possible sourcing. I also love it when people ask to see my gem collection :)

Each piece is developed through a process of collage, hand sketches, and 3D CAD modelling — all done by me. The form is then shaped in wax and finessed by my hands, responding to the material, refining texture and balance before casting. Each piece is lost wax cast in metal and made entirely in Melbourne.

The focus is always on longevity, wearability, and meaning. The designs are guided by a deep and enduring aesthetic, not by trends, and shaped with the intention that they will be worn and loved for many years to come.

Some people find what they are looking for in the studio collection. Others come with a story, a stone, or an idea they want to bring into being. That is where the bespoke process begins.

You are warmly invited to book a visit to my beloved Brunswick East studio, to explore the collection and talk through ideas. I aim to make jewellery that honours memory, place, and material. It would be a privilege to make it with you.

I acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung people as the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters on which I gratefully live and work. I respectfully recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their Elders past and present.
Always was, always will be.
