Bespoke Frequently Asked Questions
How does the process work?
Please make an appointment and fill in the online form. An initial consultation will be followed by designs and a quote. Often we will have a second meeting to confirm the style and stones. A 50% deposit is required to commence work on your piece with the balance due on delivery. Please don't worry if you are a bit unsure at the first meeting - this is absolutely to be expected and we will talk through your ideas.
How long will it take?
6-12 weeks depending on complexity. I will always try to adapt to your timeline so please make a note on your booking form and I will endeavour to help.
What metals do you use?
Yellow gold, rose gold and white gold.
Can you source stones for me?
Yes, absolutely. This is one of the best parts of my job! I also have a selection of stones I have collected for your reference or purchase.
Can you use my old jewellery or jewellery that was gifted to me in my new piece?
I can certainly remove and re-use your stones. Presently I am unable to re-use your metal but can potentially offer credit towards your piece for the metal. Alternatively, I will return it to you, along with any stones we do not incorporate into the design. Not all stones can be safely de-set and re-set. Diamonds, sapphires and rubies are the best candidates to re-use.
How much will it cost?
Bespoke pieces start at $2000. A rough guide would be $2000+ for 9ct gold and $3000+ for 14ct or $4000+ 18ct yellow/rose gold. You can refer to the online store for indicative prices.
What if that is out of my budget?
I can slightly modify any of the existing designs in my online store to contain different stones and small details. As you can appreciate, many hours go into the custom design of a ring, so altering an existing design is a more cost effective option.
What is the benefit of a bespoke piece?
